Dependence and Tolerance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Like other stimulants, FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span> has the potential to be abused if not taken correctly, which can lead to dependence and tolerance. If you have a history of drug or alcohol abuse, discuss this with your healthcare professional. Do not change the dose or stop taking FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span> without first discussing this with your healthcare professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driving and Using Machines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span> can affect the ability to drive and use potentially dangerous tools or machinery. You should not drive or use tools or machinery until you know how you respond to FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heart Related Problems<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The following heart related problems have been reported in people taking medicine to treat ADHD like FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Sudden death in patients who have heart problems or heart defects<\/li>
  2. Stroke and heart attack<\/li>
  3. Increased blood pressure<\/li>
  4. Increased heart rate<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Your healthcare professional will check carefully for heart problems before starting FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span> and will check blood pressure and heart rate regularly during treatment with FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Seek immediate medical help if you have any signs of heart problems such as chest pain, difficulty breathing or fainting while taking FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Mental Health Problems<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The following mental health problems have been reported in people taking medicine to treat ADHD like FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. New or worse thoughts or feelings of suicide (thinking about or feeling like killing yourself) and suicide attempt<\/li>
    2. New or worse bipolar disorder (extreme mood swings, with periods of excitement, switching between periods of sadness)<\/li>
    3. New or worse aggressive behaviour or hostility<\/li>
    4. New psychotic symptoms (such as hearing voices, believing things that are not true, being suspicious)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      These new or worse mental health problems may be more likely to happen if you have mental health conditions. These symptoms can happen at any time during treatment but are more likely to occur when you first start taking FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span>, when the dose changes, or after stopping FOQUEST\u00ae<\/span> treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      A small number of patients taking ADHD drugs may have feelings of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Agitation<\/li>
      2. Hostility<\/li>
      3. Anxiety, or<\/li>
      4. Have thoughts of suicide, self-harm or harm to others.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
